Post 1: Focus Your Life on Jesus as the Mark
More than a target—how making Jesus the focal point of your life unlocks clarity, power, and divine purpose
Center your life on Christ and unlock clarity, divine power, and the ability to do greater works. Move beyond appearances and discover true transformation through Jesus, the Mark.
Begin with Focus
Every great transformation begins with focus. To walk the path of Christ, your thoughts, desires, and actions must be centered on Him. Making Jesus the Mark is not a slogan—it is a way of living that brings clarity, purpose, and divine strength through alignment with His teachings.
The Danger of Success Without Power
We often settle for worldly success—praise, recognition, achievement—while missing the true power of godliness. By following surface-level laws, we may attain the form of godliness without its transforming power.
True success is not found in accolades or material gain. It is found in aligning our lives with the will of God.
Accessing the Power of Godliness
Transformation requires more than outward effort. It requires alignment with God’s will and access to His divine power. Making Jesus the Mark is not about appearing righteous—it is about living in harmony with the Creator of all things and allowing His strength to magnify your efforts.
When Jesus becomes your focal point, you are empowered to do greater works—not by force of will, but by surrender to Higher Ways. These are the works He has prepared for you, far beyond what you could accomplish alone.
When the Work Begins
Drawing nearer to God does not remove you from labor—it intensifies it.
Making Jesus the Mark is not about reclining in comfort or waiting to be rescued from effort. When you meet Him, your work accelerates.
Consider the Brother of Jared. After seeing the Lord, he did not rest—he built more ships, crossed the sea for a year, and established a people through faith and labor. Meeting the Lord is not the end of the journey; it is the beginning of doing greater works.
Or consider a modern prophet who, when urged to slow down for health’s sake, replied:
“It seems like you are trying to save me, when I don’t want to be saved; I want to be exalted.”
“If you knew what I knew, you would be running, too.”
— Spencer W. Kimball
Lengthen Your Stride
Engaging in the Lord’s business means lengthening your stride—running and not being weary, walking and not fainting. It means stepping into clarity and focus, magnifying your talents, and building His kingdom without distraction.
This is the power of godliness at work.
Focus Your Life on Jesus as the Mark
Making Jesus the Mark is about laser focus. It unlocks clarity, power, and purpose through alignment with Him. It is about emanating His light, emulating His example, and becoming One— a branch through which divine fruit is borne.
Reflect on how centering your life on Jesus transforms your focus and strengthens your discipleship. As you align fully with Him, you will discover greater joy, endurance, and purpose.
