Publish Peace Now: From Knowledge to Divine Becoming
Are you settling for spiritual mediocrity? Many of us accumulate knowledge about Christ while keeping a safe distance from His transformative yoke. We study scriptures, attend services, and even share insights—yet remain unchanged, like scholars who would fail to recognize the Master walking beside them on the road to Emmaus.
The Divine Truth
The Lord commands us to write and share His words, not to fill books with dead letters, but to chronicle our living transformation into His image. As He declares in 2 Nephi 29:11, we are to "write the words which I speak unto them"—not just to record history, but to witness our willingness to receive more, to become more.
This isn't about judgment—it's about growth. About stepping into an endless spiral of receiving, becoming, and sharing that leads to eternal increase. When we truly publish peace, we're not merely transmitting information; we're extending an invitation to walk on water with Christ.
Beyond Common Understanding
There's a vast difference between knowing about Christ and knowing Him. A scriptorian might master theological concepts yet miss the Master Himself—like those on the Damascus road who held religious knowledge but wouldn't kneel before living Truth.
To know Him is to take His yoke upon us. It means moving beyond comfortable knowledge into the uncomfortable space of transformation. It's choosing to serve Him who serves us, allowing His character to reshape our own, and then sharing that living testimony with others.
Real Power, Real Change
After fifty years of walking this path, I've learned that publishing peace is about perpetual growth—an ever-increasing dominion. The moment we say "I have enough" is the moment we begin to lose what we've gained. Like the rich man who chose finite wealth over walking with Christ, we can damn ourselves with complacency.
The Spirit taught me through Elder Scott's words that recording spiritual insights isn't just about preserving knowledge—it's about declaring to heaven our readiness for more. But publishing takes this to another level entirely. It moves us from students to teachers, from observers to participants in divine nature.
When you hunger after Him, He fills you with His Holy Spirit, endowing you with knowledge and wisdom unto eternal lives. The question isn't whether He will give—it's whether we will receive. Will we step out of our comfortable boats? Will we trade our finite understanding for His infinite perspective?
