Breaking Free From the World’s Trap

You feel it, don’t you?
A lingering emptiness. A gnawing sense that what you have isn’t enough.

You’ve climbed a mountain only to find another peak rising before you. You’ve gained the world’s applause—but the echo fades into silence.

The world whispers, “Take more. Consume more. Be more.”
And yet, the hunger deepens.

Why?

Because you were not made for horizontal growth—measuring yourself against the declining world around you. You were made for vertical ascension, reaching toward the infinite. Toward Him who invites you to “lay hold upon every good thing” (2 Nephi 28:30).

The world’s “never enough” is rooted in selfishness.
God’s “never enough” is rooted in service.

Laying Hold of Every Good Thing

God invites you to grow, expand, and align your life with His. This requires actively receiving His gifts and multiplying them for the good of others.

“For unto him that receiveth I will give more; and from them that say, ‘It is enough,’ shall be taken away even that which they have” (2 Nephi 28:30).

True progression is not about consuming more—but giving more.
Not grasping—but becoming.

Like a steward entrusted with a treasure, you are called to multiply the good you receive. Jacob taught this plainly:

“Think of your brethren like unto yourselves, and be free with your substance, that they may be rich like unto you” (Jacob 2:17–19).

This is the divine “never enough.”
Not taking—but serving.

The World’s Thinking vs. God’s Thinking

The world tells you to stockpile for the future. It whispers of a life where you can sit back, sip piña coladas, and re-tire—be tired again and again.

And what does that lead to?

A garage full of possessions.
A storage unit of trinkets.
A life spent hoarding things you will leave behind—naked as you came into the world.

God’s way is different.

He invites you to be free with your substance, to bless others, and to multiply what you receive in service. His law is abundance through alignment.

“Whatsoever thing ye shall ask the Father in my name, which is good, in faith believing, ye shall receive” (Moroni 7:26).

When you live according to God’s law, your dominion increases forever. This is the promise of progression: every good thing, every needed blessing, and every opportunity to serve more.

Even Brewster’s Millions unintentionally teaches this truth—money only has value when it is put into circulation. Stockpiling leads to stagnation. Giving leads to growth.

Joy in Service

As you align with God’s law, joy replaces hunger. Purpose replaces anxiety. Grace replaces striving.

Your capacity increases.
You give more.
You love more.
You see more clearly.

Your life becomes a reflection of Christ’s light.

This is not merely progression—it is exaltation.
It is to receive all that the Father has and to become a steward of eternal abundance.

Freedom is not found in stockpiling for self, but in pouring out blessings upon others.

Reaching for the Infinite Good

You were made for more—not more consumption, but more consecration.

The path upward is not one of accumulation, but of alignment. As you reach toward the infinite good, God enlarges your soul, multiplies your stewardship, and teaches you how to bless without fear.

Lay hold upon every good thing.
Receive more—so you may give more.
Become more—so others may rise.

That is God’s abundance.
That is the divine “never enough.”
